The Canyon Rug 52111-3838 is a thick woven abstract rug with a raised relief structure that creates a clear structure and texture of the surface. It is made in Belgium, in a multi-stage weaving and heat process that creates the final design.
The construction incorporates a mix of polyester and heatset polypropylene strands, allowing for fluctuation in tone as light sweeps across the surface. The pile is woven tightly to keep its shape after daily use, yet is still soft underfoot.
Abstract design woven relief texture rugs
Canyon Rug collection is created in a process where the rug is woven first and then heat-treated so parts of the yarn shrink and the design stands out from the foundation. This produces a noticeable contrast between the raised design and the flatter background.
Colour tones in charcoal, grey, brown and beige exist in an abstract layout, with slight shifts in shade depending on the lighting in the space. The polyester yarn lends a slight reflectivity without altering the otherwise muted look.
